Overview & Spawn Context

The Founder is an S-tier collaboration entity added in v0.2.14 (April 23, 2026). He wanders maps defending points of interest—usually the most crowded objective zones—and transitions into high-speed chases after a roar windup. Post-v0.2.14 hotfixes added damage falloff to his swing and removed endlag, making positioning even more critical.

Treat The Founder like Defect and RED44: study him before voting 3-star maps. Read the entity tier list and pair this guide with universal survival rules.

Hunt Mode & Infected Debuff

During Hunt Mode, The Founder's eyes dilate and detection range increases dramatically. He spews red clouds that darken your screen borders and apply the Infected debuff—your maximum health shrinks over time instead of taking direct chip damage. If Infected persists too long, you die instantly with no revival possible, and your corpse spreads more clouds.

Avoid red mist at all costs. Healing items cannot restore max health lost to Infected; leave the zone immediately and communicate "Founder mist" to teammates rotating Capture points.

Ground Slam & Chase Counters

The Founder is faster than players while chasing, but his roaming footsteps are loud—use audio callouts during Collect routes. When he closes distance, he pauses for a left-fist ground slam dealing 46 damage with light ragdoll. The pause is long enough to sidestep if stamina is saved; jumping into the hit knocks you farther back.

Break line of sight with corners on maps like SourceVoid or Apartments. Metal Bat and Revolver stuns buy one reposition—do not chain hits during stun immunity. Speed Coil after slam windup, not during roar.

Squad Play & Map Voting

Assign a scout to listen for Founder footsteps near central POIs while others complete objectives. On Capture trials, rotate point holders so no one stands in defended zones alone. Vote maps with multiple exits when your lobby lacks Founder experience.

Track balance changes on Updates—v0.2.18 continued entity tuning across the roster. Compare with provokable entities only for RED44 stare discipline; Founder is not provoked—he defends territory proactively.
